The Waterside Bowls Club (originally the Esso Fawley Bowling Club), was formed in 1950 and is based at the Holbury site of the waterside Sports and Social Club in the heart of the New Forest National Park.
The Club has two high standard greens with a total of 12 rinks which we take great pride in maintaining to a high standard. We also emphasise a friendly and fun approach to bowling allied to a varied and competitive programme both internally and in the New Forest and County leagues.
We are affiliated to the Bowls England, Bowls Hampshire, Southampton & District BA & WBA and the New Forest BA & WBA. WE run a very active social calendar. New Members are always welcome.
During the season we hold numerous competitions for both the men and ladies and we ensure all skill levels are catered for and encouraged to take part.
League games for both the Mens and Ladies sections are usually played on Tuesdays and Thursdays from May to September allied with an internal mixed league on a Wednesday afternoons. Roll-ups are an integral part of the social side where all abilities are welcome to turn up and have a friendly game.
We also have an annual tour and play friendly games against touring sides from all over the Country as well as some regular friendly fixtures and would invite any club to contact us in regard to arranging a friendly match either home or away.
